Mossman Gorge, Atherton Tableland and Cairns to Mission Beach.

After I left Cape Tribulation, I headed back down South. Staying at Mossman Gorge, then driving round the Atherton Tableland checking virtually all the Waterfalls out. After dropping the car off, I headed down to Mission Beach for a couple of days. Then back up to Cairns to catch a flight back to Sydney.

This is a lovely little spot, just south of Cape Tribulation, called Mossman Gorge.

Time for a refreshing dip.

This is a gorgeous little timber B&B, Mossman Gorge B&B. Three rooms, cantilevered varandah over looking the rain forest and Mossman Gorge.

One of the other inhabitants.

Some of the stunning views.

The main bedroom.

Owned by a lovely lady, we had the best breakfast, including hot homemade chocolate muffins, yum.

Now heading for the Atherton Tableland. A stop to see Curtain fig, a 500 year old, 15m high strangler fig.

Now on the Atherton Tableland, we are on the Waterfall circuit. The first of three these are the Millaa Millaa falls.

The second one, Zillie Falls.

And the third one, Ellinjaa Falls, which had a couple of turtles living in the pool. How they got there was a mystery.

I love me waterfalls.

Another stop this time to catch some rays on Lake Eacham.

Another yacht trip, this time from Cairns to Green Island. Great snorkelling on Barrier reef. We had a couple of reef sharks swimming round the boat.

Now back on the Greyhound, down to Mission Beach.

More lovely stretches of secluded beaches.

The view over to Dunk Island.

The view back to mission beach from the top of Dunk Island.

Stunning views again.
